VETTS EASTERN MASTERS.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS AT VETTS EASTERN MASTERS.

Sportspark UEA Norwich, NR4 7TJ November 8-9, 2025

PARKING:

Please be advised of the changes from previous years. Players are advised to park in the main UEA car park, which is now monitored by CCTV using an outside company. All users MUST ENTER THEIR REGISTRATION on one of the two iPads in the Sportspark reception area (one at reception and one opposite reception where the old car park machine was). This MUST BE DONE ON EACH DAY otherwise a fine will be issued. Also to note, any queries about parking or fines would need to be directed to UEA themselves, not the Sportspark nor the VETTS. The Sportspark car park is still available and still has a ticket system, but space is very limited there.

FRIDAY SET-UP:

We need people to help with the set-up of the room on Friday evening. You don't need to be able to carry tables, just if you can help with the nets and score=boards it helps to spread the work-load and means we are all able to make it for dinner at a sensible time. Please come along to help out. Set up begins at 5pm. No knocking before set-up is complete.

Also, if you are still around Sunday evening, we always welcome extra hands with the break-down.

This is your Society and we need your help with these events to make them work smoothly. Thank you.

DRAW:

Available on the Tournament Software website:

https://vetts.tournamentsoftware.com/.../1DDA26CC-46AB...

PROMOTION STAND/RAFFLE:

As usual, we will have the VETTS Promotion Stand were you can buy a range of small souvenirs. We also have some VETTS kit available to buy directly from the stand (limited number of sizes).

We are grateful for donations of raffle prizes - all proceeds to the VETTS.

REMINDERS...

A few gentle reminders please....

Umpiring....if you lose a game, please come to the control table and umpire. We need volunteer umpires to keep the event rolling. Please step up.

Cross knocking....Don't do it! The reason we say no cross-knocking or knocking with multiple balls is that it increases the chances of interrupting the games in progress on neighbouring court.

Score-cards....Check the results before returning the score card - you'd be surprised at the number of times the scores are entered the wrong way round, and we, on control desk, have no way of knowing this, so a losing player could inadvertently go through to the next round. Please check the scores are entered correctly.

I think that's all folks...…

Thanks to our Tournament Referee, Kim Mudge and her team; and our Tournament Organiser, Dan Milburn.

Safe travels to everyone and we look forward to seeing you in the beautiful city of Norwich,

Susie Venner
