NE Masters, Durham

The VETTS 2025/26 season begins at the North East Masters in Durham on August 30/31, 2025. Venue is Graham Sports Centre, Durham University Sports Arena, Maiden Castle, Stockton Road, Durham DH1 3SE.
A few points for our participants:
- VENUE SET-UP: We need help to set the venue up on the Friday evening (August 29, 2025) from about 5.45pm. Last year, we were very short of volunteers to help set-up and this makes a much harder task for a few people. You don't need to be able to carry tables (although if you can, that's great), but we also need people to help put up nets, score-boards etc and some 'lighter' tasks. If you can spare us an hour of your time, it will be much appreciated. Please post here if you are able to come along (or if you are unsure in advance, please just pop in on the evening).
- CHECK YOUR SCORE CARDS: Before the score cards are returned to the control table, the players need to take responsibility that the correct score have been entered.
- UMPIRING: Losing players are required to umpire. This keep the tournament rolling along with minimum delays.
- CROSS-KNOCKING: Please don't. The reason we don't allow cross-knocking during the event is there is twice the likelihood of disrupting the games either side of you.
- RAFFLE PRIZES: Any raffle prizes are gratefully received on the VETTS stand. All proceeds go back into VETTS funds.
- DIARIES: The new 2025/26 VETTS diary will be available from the Promotion Stand. £5 per copy.
- OFFICIALS: Many thanks to our NE Masters Tournament Organiser, Chris Blake; Tournament Referee, Cliff Bell; and their teams.
